    🎯The Role:

    As Business Relationship Manager, you will proactively promote financial products and services to a network of existing and potential broker customers. Your vibrant and engaging personality will allow you to confidently initiate conversations with new and retained business partners, building a rapport and maintaining strong relationships. Responsible for a portfolio of Insurance Brokers, and a territory within which to expand, you will offer advise and support in respect to General Insurance (GI) queries. As Business Relationship Manager you will commit at least 2.5 hours per day, to high-volume outbound calling, balanced with inbound queries via telephone, live chat and email.

     

    🛠️ 📋Responsibilities:

    • Perform outbound account relationship management, building rapport with existing and new financial advice businesses via the telephone, email and social media (LinkedIn).
    • Proactively manage and take responsibility for multiple outbound brokers with a structured and disciplined approach.
    • Use time efficiently to cover priority topics, such as relationship management handovers, proactive pipeline and marketing campaign follow-ups, first-case support, new system features, and product updates.
    • Demonstrate agility and critical thinking in conversations, asking appropriate, situation-led questions that align with the purpose of the call and the broker’s current needs.
    • Support growth in quote levels by striving to increase activity with each contact, by identifying new business opportunities from conversations and relationships with targeted lists.  
    • Contribute to proposition development by accurately identifying and recording key broker concerns, providing timely feedback to internal stakeholders where product, service or support gaps exist.
    • Share best practice within the team, highlighting what worked well in a successful campaign so that colleagues can implement these elements to boost the team's success further.
    • Support sales and marketing activities, including promoting products and services at external events and conferences.
    • Deliver Webinar/Web demonstration-based sales presentations and training to target firms.
    • Utilise the Dynamics CRM system to record and plan activity on existing or target accounts.
    • Deal with any general queries relating to General Insurance with brokers and policyholders.

     

    🎓 Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

    Essential:

    • Previous and demonstrable experience of working in a telephone-based sales role and exceeding set targets.
    • Experience in telephone account management/relationship-building related activities.
    • Resilience in dealing with challenging/negative conversations.
    • Motivation to work through call lists, where the conversation/contact rate is around 25%.
    • Previously used a CRM system to manage day-to-day activity.
    • Demonstrable interpersonal and communication skills, evidenced by the building and managing of successful relationships in previous roles.
    • Experience of successfully influencing and persuading customers and overcoming their objections.
    • A results-oriented mindset, with a proven track record of hitting and exceeding targets/KPIs.
    • Evidence of excellent prioritisation, planning and organisational skills.
    • Experience in using data/results to identify successful elements and improvements that can be implemented in call campaigns.
    • The ability to inspire trust, respect and loyalty from both colleagues and customers.
    • The willingness and ability to travel to support our external sales activities from time to time.

    Desirable:

    • Knowledge of the financial advice, intermediary, broker and/or general insurance markets and/or related experience, including banking or mortgage lending.
