🎯The Role:
As a QA Technician, you’ll ensure product and process compliance through rigorous production testing and meticulous documentation.
This hands-on role is responsible for planning and executing laboratory and R&D trials, supporting continuous improvement (CI) initiatives, and ensuring accurate testing, documentation and reporting.
🛠️ 📋Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-line and final product lab tests to verify adherence to quality standards.
- Maintain and improve any product safety standards (GMP and BRC).
- Support customer queries through analytical retain testing and thorough reporting.
- Maintain accurate and traceable records for audits.
- Manage document and change control processes.
- Support NPI by preparing relevant documentation and generating part numbers.
- Support First Article Inspection (FAI) processes.
- Oversee the quarantine stock system to prevent non-conforming product release.
- Prepare and Issue Certificates of Analysis (CoAs).
- Contribute to Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) investigations.
- Coordinate any RMA activity.
- Compile cost-of-quality reports.
- Manage equipment calibration and Measurement System Analysis.
- Ensure continuous compliance with customer requirements and regulatory standards.
- Implement and monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) to drive continuous improvement.
- Update and maintain product specifications within the ERP system.
🎓 Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
Essential:
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (e.g. Science, quality, production engineering) or equivalent quality/manufacturing experience within a regulated industry.
- Experience of working within a regulated manufacturing industry.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to analyse data and produce technical reports. Good knowledge of MS Office programs.
- Organisational and time management abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
- Willingness to work shifts and provide flexible cover as required to support operations.
- Adaptable approach to changing priorities and production demands
- Commitment to learning all product categories and manufacturing processes across the site
- Maintain a positive can-do attitude with a strong focus on quality, efficiency and continuous improvement
- Demonstrate a high level of productivity whilst ensuring strict adherence to quality and safety standards
- Willing to take on development opportunities with potential to progress within the business.
Desirable:
- Experience in QA/QC or lab coordination within a manufacturing or packaging environment.
- Experience of GMP, BRC or food certified regulations.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards in respect to BRC/ Food.
